PRESIDENTS REPORT 17TH MAY 2011
A very warm welcome to all members and guests.
It has been an eventful month outside Probus with Easter and Anzac day coinciding consequently we have not had our usual monthly outing but next month Valerie has organised a most interesting visit to the Kurrajong Radio Museum.
I have to admit I was never a great enthusiast for Aboriginal paintings probably because I knew so little about the subject; but as a result of the talk by Christine Hosking which I found most illuminating and now at least have a little understanding about the subject.
This month Robin Miller from Centerlink will tell us how that organisation can help us, I have found their employees to be most helpful so I am looking forward to the talk.
One of the features of Probus Clubs is the way the membership is forever changing. This makes for an interesting club, but it also means that it is very difficult for members and officials to recognise each other and to differentiate between members and visitors so I would remind everyone to make sure they bring and wear their membership badges.
