President’s Report 18 June 2013
Good morning everyone and welcome to our June meeting. A special welcome to our visitors!
Bob is away again this month, so I am pleased to be able to fill in for him and to write this newsletter.
Our speaker last month was Maureen Mulheron, who spoke to us about her childhood and how she came to become an author. She was most interesting and inspiring–an example of what can be achieved with grit and determination.
We had a lovely and successful outing to The Norman Lindsay Gallery at
Faulconbridge with a lunch at Springwood last month. The weather was fine and we got a bit of autumn colour!
Please note that the bus for this month’s outing next week will be leaving at 9:00 am–-half an hour earlier than previously advised.
I hope you will have a go at today’s quiz–and give it to our quizmaster before 11 am.
Membership report: The membership of the Club is 55, with 21 men and 34 women. We are sad to advise that a long term former member, John Byrne, who had resigned through ill health, died last week.
