President's Report - January 20, 2015
The Christmas Dinner was an enjoyable and pleasant affair in which we were entertained by good food, wine and Peter Bates' talented daughters. All in all, a good start to the holiday season.
Now for the New Year in which we all want to stay healthy and active Probus members. It is in the activity area that the committee invites members to consider joining the committee. Our March meeting is the Annual General Meeting in which all positions, including the office bearers, are declared vacant. We have an excellent committee, but not all committee members will stay on, and in any case new blood is always welcome. It is often the case that members are dragged onto the committee protesting. When on the committee these protesters find that it is a rewarding experience in helping our Probus club to function. I think all members get enjoyment in the activities and general social activities of our club, so please volunteer rather than being dragged alomg!
The committee wishes everybody a good New Year. and we all look forward to a convivial and interesting time in the coming months.
