President’s Report
Today is the 16th June, in 6 days we will have the winter solstice behind us and the days will get longer. This is a high point in my year. Love the longer days!
Congratulations to Clive W, who was awarded an OAM in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List! Very well deserved, without a doubt.
Our speaker today is Gabrielle Mason, who will discuss “Food and Nutrition.” There are a significant number of members whose annual subscription fees are outstanding. The rate is now seventy dollars. Please pay our treasurer, Susan Myers, at the front desk.
On Friday 12th June, Susan, Clive and I met with Glen Ward, General Manager of North Sydney Leagues Club. Some of our members had expressed disappointment with the venue of our last meeting, and this and other matters were addressed. We agreed the meeting was a good one.
Membership report: Our membership remains at 58: 35 women and 23 men.
Many happy returns for your June Birthday: Janet B 03, Judy C 06, Sally J 06, Judy M 10, Elizabeth C 16, and Ches W 21.
