This month I’d like to share a few epithets as I’m still travelling. My thanks go to a fellow Committee Member for making this suggestion and also, for some of the quotes.

Note: All our Probus meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday of every month at 10:15am. The next meeting will be held on the 18th of September 2018. The committee meetings are conducted in the Northbridge Golf Club at 9:00am on the same day as the meeting. Members are welcome to attend.
Program of Activities
Guest Speakers: Today we welcome Angela Tian Zhu, who will speak to us about Women’s Health. Next month, Kathryn Goozee will tell us about the KaRa Institute of Neurological Health.
Probus Walkers: Tuesday 11th September 2018. Hunters Hill to Woolwich.
We start the walk from Hunters Hill traversing beautiful suburban streets to Mornington Reserve and continuing on to Kellys Bush. We continue along the foreshore around Clarke Point via the Dry Dock to Woolwich Pier Hotel for lunch.
Walk classed as medium with hills and bush steps. Approx. 6 klms.
MEET: Circular Quay Wharf 5 at 9:30am for Woolwich ferry at 9:45am.
Probus Outings:
Tuesday 28th August: Geranium Cottage, Nurseries and Café.
“Geranium Cottage Nursery has been established for over thirty years. Being the exclusive agent for Europe’s PAC variety of pelargoniums we import the best from our supplier each year.” There is a jam shop and small art gallery. No entry fee at this time. The café has been built with recycled timbers, the main supports being an old Queensland bridge, complete with barnacle holes and sea shells. Bus $30. Depart at 9:00am. Lunch on site.
Tuesday 25th September: Fagan Park. The crown jewel of Hornsby Shire’s parks, covering 55 hectares that include a range of attractions for everybody. Fagan Park was originally owned by the Fagan family and operated as an orchard and cattle farm. The site was donated by the Fagan family to the Department of Lands, with Hornsby Shire Council appointed as sole trustee for the park. The park was adopted as the Council’s bicentennial project and was officially opened in November, 1988. Bus $30. Depart at 9:00am.
