From the President:
Greetings from a very sunny England, which is experiencing its warmest summer for over 40 years! Some of the locals are describing this as a “heatwave” i.e. the mercury has exceeded 30C on a few days, which I know will bring a wry smile from all our friends in Probus Downunder!
The international composition of the North Sydney Probus Club was brought home to Gillian and me when we made our first visit to Sweden last month. Whilst in Stockholm, Maurice and Kristina very kindly provided us with lots of sightseeing suggestions. Maurice also sacrificed a day to show us around a few of Stockholm’s many attractions, which we much appreciated. Unfortunately, Kristina’s walking wasn’t too good and she wasn’t able to join us.
I take this opportunity to pass on my gratitude to all of my fellow Committee members for their continued hard work in keeping the cogs of the wheel turning smoothly. From copies of the minutes, which I am receiving, everything remains well and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Kind regards to you all, Patrick.
