President’s Report  APRIL 2016

Many thanks to the Club members for the opportunity to be your President.  No doubt it will be a great and rewarding experience for me.
Specific thanks go to past President, Evelyn K, for the great job she did last year during a particularly challenging period.  To my Committee colleagues, a big thank you.
A polite reminder that members’ annual subscription fees of $40.00 are due.  Please pay our Treasurer, Susan M, at the front desk.  Also, could you please wear your Club name badge at our meetings, as this is helpful for other members.  Please see Willemina, our  Membership Coordinator, if you do not have a name badge.
While membership numbers are healthy, the Committee is looking at ways to strengthen the numbers and the mix.  Please feel free to bring along a friend to our meetings, walks or outings.  The Committee is also looking at the Club’s website as a marketing tool to attract new members.
Our speaker today is Jenny Beer from Willoughby Council, who will tell us about a programme to promote home gardens, particularly for apartments.
Looking forward to our upcoming walks and outings.
Membership Report:  Our membership remains the same at 56 (33 women and 23 men).

Many happy returns of the day for your April birthday:  Bob M 05, Gillian  W 09, Rhona S 26, and Geraldine P 29.
Note:  All our Probus meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday of every month.  The next meeting will be held on 17th May 2016.  The committee meetings are conducted in the Northbridge Golf Club, usually on the first Tuesday of the month.  Members are welcome to observe.

Program of Activities
